Appointment update

So, everything is all good. My internist said he is almost positive it is a Lipoma. He said that most likely, I traumatized it and that is why it is swollen and sore. He said I could either leave it alone and eventually it would stop hurting, or I could have him take it out. I voted for the latter, since it hurts like hell and is rather ugly. So, he tried to take it out right there in the exam room. He used several shots of Lidocaine around it and started cutting. And I began passing out. I almost passed out twice. I don't know why, I wasn't watching. I told him I had been through much worse (c-section, hematoma) so I didn't know why this was bothering me. Anyway, he couldn't get it out. He said I must have hit it hard enough b/c it is kinda "nailed down" and he couldn't get it out easily. He dug around a lot and got some pieces out to send to pathology to make sure it is just the fatty tumor thingie. Eric said he dug around probably an inch down, and just couldn't get it. Usually they can just pop them up and cut them out. He put in 3 stitches, and showed Eric how to take them out. Now, it hurts like hell. It is really bruised, a huge bruise. But at least I know that will heal quickly.

Internist appointment today

At the advice of my good friend, Nurse Amber, I made an appointment with an internist today. He is in Sioux Falls at Sanford. Eric is coming with me - Judy is coming to our house in about an hour to hang out with the kids so Eric can come with. I'm sure it will turn out to be just a bug bite or cyst or something, but I'd rather know that now than wait and wonder for another week or 2.

Got back from the doc

He isn't sure what it is. He put me on an antibiotic withthe hopes that I just have some sort of infection causing the swelling. He also measured the lump and we will keep track of it. I have an appointment next Wednesday, and if the lump hasn't started decreasing by then he will probably have them do a biopsy on it and completely remove it. He is concerned about lymphoma or leukemia being the other cause of the lump.

Pool Pics

Here are a few pics of us in the pool yesterday. :)

Weird bump

I have a weird lump on my arm, it's hard and doesn't really move and doesn't itch, but hurts like hell. So, I'm going to see if I can get in to the doc tomorrow and have it looked at.

Fun Night

Eric got the pool all set up, and the water warmed up enough for us to take a dip yesterday. We didn't fill it all the way up, so that Ella could stand in it herself if she wanted to. She loves that! The boys love it, Boden more than Jacob. Jacob kept splashing himself in the face! I got some cute pics that I need to upload.

Eric decided yesterday afternoon that he didn't want to work at night. So, I called Sara and she came down to watch the kiddos for us. We went to Tea for TeaPot Days. Went to a bar for a few minutes to listen to the band and then to a friend's house. Some of Eric's college friends were there so we sat around the fire for a few hours before heading home. It was such a gorgeous night!

I just got one of Amanda's (TaylorMade Designs) new kits - Peaches & Regalias. SO pretty. I can't wait to start using it - hopefully everyone cooperates for naptime! Some of the papers match Ella's swimsuit perfectly - YAY!

Ordered some layouts!

Well, we got an unexpected, small check from insurance in the mail. Eric gave it to me and said I could print some layouts with it! I am SO excited, or to take a word from Ella, I am Ecstatic! :D I haven't printed any layouts yet. So, this will be really fun. I just placed my order. I think I ordered 26 of them. They have different finish options, so hopefully I made the right choice. I hope they turn out well. I will be really happy once they are in the kids' albums. Now I just need to buy one for the boys.

Invitations done!

Well, one thing is done for the boys' party! I got the invitations done today. It took me awhile as I used several photos of them on it. They should get here next week and I can mail them out right away.

Now, I just need to decide on decorations. Ella is voting for a "Finding Nemo" theme, but, I don't think it's fair for her to choose for her brothers. Plus, they haven't seen the movie. She also suggested a "Cars" theme (which she had for her birthday in January), Baby Einstein theme (which I did consider) and a "baby" theme, and I don't even know what that would be!

My friend Amber found a cute boy cupcake set online and I might just get that stuff.

There is a lady in Beresford that makes cakes and I think I'll try her out. It will be fun to have the boys each have their own little "smash cake."

Eric is going to see about borrowing the big white event tents from Newton Hills to set up.

I need to figure out how many picnic tables we'll need, so I know how many tablecloths to order.

Posh Lady

Earlier today, I asked Ella to go get some clothes on as she was still wearing her jammies. For awhile she ran around naked. Then, she came out wearing the following outfit and proclaming to be a "Posh Lady."

Old Family Pics

Home alone today

Eric went to Pierre for a SDPRA meeting, he had to get up at 5:30 a.m.! Yikes. He is riding with some people from Sioux Falls, so at least there is no risk of him falling asleep on the way to Pierre. He won't be home until 9 p.m. tonight, so I have a long day ahead! Hopefuly the kids nap well for me. I'm working on the boys' birthday invitation, and it looks pretty good so far. I just need Eric to give me his "ok" on it.

Update

I haven't updated forever, but some friends have started blogging so I thought I'd try to keep up!

I am still scrapbooking like crazy. I still frequent www.oscraps.com but have started uploading my layouts to www.scrapbook.com as well. I used to 'hang out' there when I paper scrapped and have gotten back again. You can check out my gallery here:

The boys are 11 months, 2 days old! They are growing like crazy and doing new things every day. They are crawling everywhere, standing up using everything imaginable (even each other!) and are eating lots of table food. I am trying to plan their birthday party, and working on invitations now.

Ella is her wild self. She is so stinkin' smart. We have been going to the library quite a bit lately, which she loves. Now that it is nice outside she wants to be out there 24/7. We put up our pool and hopefully next week the water will be warm enough to swim in.

That is all for now, I'm going to try to keep this up!
